Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field Therapy

The pulsed electro magnetic field (PEMF) therapy unit used by Equine Focus Ltd is a simple effective treatment for horses and humans suffering from the following conditions:

Chronic pain, acute inflammation, fractures and bone damage, open wounds, circulatory problems, soft tissue problems or as a general boost to the immune system.

The PEMF unit has been developed and refined by many years of research and is used in a number of hospitals throughout the UK treating and improving patients with a wide range of painful conditions.

The unit is placed on the horse and pulses of low energy magnetic fields radiate globally around the unit for 30cm, with the potential to penetrate deep in to muscle tissue inaccessible with common laser and massage therapy modalities. A range of frequencies is used from 3Hz to 20Hz to stimulate different tissue cells for increments of up to 10 minutes.

PEMF provides pain relief and accelerates healing.

What is PEMF?

Research shows that cells of different tissue respond to different frequencies of low energy magnetic fields. PEMF therapy uses a range of natural frequencies and intensities to help stimulate and promote cells with different functions to work more efficiently. Electronic generators are used to pulse low energy magnetic field oscillations (waves). These waves penetrate deep (up to 30cm) into the tissue stimulating cellular activity. The range of frequencies transmitted are received by cell receptors recognised by the brain and nervous system which trigger the acceleration of repair to cells and tissues with different functions.
